In the summers of 2005 and 2006, basically everyone claiming to play house music was spinning Hanna Hais classic song "Rosa Nova", that was co-written and produced by Sergio. With its modern afro-beats, that have later often been sampled by other artists, and its great sax-hook - you know the one - Sergio's own Scientific Soul Sax In Rio re-mix was eventually picked up by Fluential, Defected's sister-label, and soon everyone was singing along to "La la la la la la la, Rosa Nova". Up until this day, the track remains in the CD case of many respected DJs. Now, Defected has decided that it's time to breathe new life into this classic and is re-releasing the tune this year. Brand new mixes are coming from the likes of Samir Maslo, Born To Funk, Mastiksoul and Vienna's own DJ Smoove . There will also be a re-mix by Hanna herself and a 2010 re-edit by Sergio, to complete the package.
